What does yours say this evening?… read more…

Tipping of binmen is forbidden this Christmas - I received a letter the other day, as did all Munich residents I suspect. Apparently it has been traditional for many years that households give Christmas tips to their binmen (refuse collectors). Have you ever tipped a binman? I haven't. I wouldn't even know how to do so. I only ever see them on the very rare occasion that I leave or arrive at the house the same time as they're doing the collection. And even then, I have no personal contact with… read more…

Relive the last Coldplay concert in Munich - If anyone wants to hear what Coldplay sounded like the last time they played Munich, (September 26, 2008) you can click through to this UK radio station, Absolute Radio's Live in Munich recording. Munich Apple store opens December 6, 2008 - Apples first store in Germany is to rumoured to be opening December 10th at 1 Rosenstrasse. The first rumours started circling on the net in March when a set of architects plans for hte site were released. There were no names on the plans, but a big apple logo above the doors kinda gave it away. Apple have not yet confirmed the opening date. I happened to be heading past on Saturday with my camera as they were taking some nice signage in. I've been… read more…
